If you are living in NSW, we are dedicated in helping children learn to love studies as well as living green. At Little Graces we are serving organic meals in the childcare centre to create crafts with recycled materials.
Sustainability is a big part of our curriculum which includes educating children and people about nature. Do you know which sustainability activities in childcare must be included in this?
Consider trying some of these fun ideas, activities and processes for kids:

1. Trash Cleaning:

Educate kids to dispose trash, recyclables, and compostables properly at the right place. It is a great place to start with sustainability in your home so educate the parents first so that they teach kids about this thing. Educate kids to put the trash and decomposes in the dustbin!

2. Educate Them About “THE THREE RS”

Everyone have listened about Recycle, Reuse & Reduce. If you want to promote the concept of green earth then teaching children about “the three Rs” — reduce, reuse, and recycle — can be an excellent. This is a jumping-off point for a sustainability discussion.

3. Sustainable Storytime

Engage kids with the sustainability books to choose from the provided selection. Colorful graphics can teach kids in most effective way. This often includes from saving the whales to learning how to create less waste. In the childcare working hour dedicate atleast 1–2 hr specially for the green earth.

4. Start A Garden

Childcare can be easily engaged with organic meals and gardening. You must provide a special section of childcare centre towards gardening and vegetation. Despite of this parents can also provide training, starting a garden with a few small plant. It is an excellent way to get your kids outside and learning to love nature.

5. Make Your Home More Green

Do not use bulbs that are using more power. Engage a day in improving your home’s sustainability through simple upgrades. These includes changing your light bulbs to CFLs and implementing low-flow showerhead!

6.Go On Hiking

Foster a love of the environment by hiking. Going outside and exploring nature is an excellent way to walk through nature that can help them appreciate the beauty of the nature!

7. Try Recylable Art

Teaching kids about converting normal things into art like using bottle caps, gently used paper, paper towel rolls, or something else entirely. Paper, Cardboard or can serve the purpose.

8. Water Conservation

Teach kids about water off when they’re brushing their teeth, washing hand. Tell them that taking a shorter shower or avoiding shower every day could save gallons of water in the long run? Encourage kids about conserving water.
